Ice Cream Sandwich based LG Optimus L7 headed to Canada

During the onslaught of Mobile World Congress we got to see a ton of new devices. Many of them are spectacular, while some are just so-so. LG had quite the line-up on display and most of the big announcements came with ICS as the base OS. We were happy to hear that. One of such LG devices demoed, photoed and videod to the gills was the LG Optimus L series of device. According to a tipster at MobileSyrup, the Optimus L7 is on the road map to land in Canada on Rogers Wireless.

The L7 wasn’t a crazy quad-core powerhouse device, but does pack in a 4.3-inch display, ICS and a 1 Ghz single-core processor. Still only holding onto a 1500mAh battery though that could make this a short-lived device for battery life.  More of a mid-range devices, it still has the look and apparently the feel of a great little device.

There is no pricing or launch dates available just yet, but we will let you guys know. If rumors from MWC are correct, it should be launched in Q2.
