We’ve already seen what the Google Play Store page is going to look like for the next Google phone, the Nexus 5, when it unintentionally (or intentionally) went live briefly, long enough for us to get a look at it and save the pretty pictures. This all but confirmed that the Nexus 5 is pretty much ready for sale, but a released date has yet to be stated, though that hasn’t stopped everyone weighing in on what they believe will be the date of release. Many are pegging the release date to be October 28th with some kind of relation between Halloween and the Kit Kat-themed Android version that is to ship with it.
To get us through to whenever the Nexus 5 is finally officially announced, leak extraordinaire, evleaks, has released yet another Nexus 5 press render on his Twitter account. There’s nothing particularly new about the press render, only that the wallpaper isn’t the same as the one seen on the Nexus 5 Play Store page, i.e. the ‘official’ Nexus 5 wallpaper, though the icons and transparent notification and soft key menu are dead ringers for Android 4.4 Kit Kat. All we’re waiting for is the officially announcement now. Come on, Google: pretty please?
Who’s going to get a Nexus 5 when it is finally announced and released? Let us know if you are in the comments.
