HTC has had some interesting marketing in the past to say the least, and its latest attempts in teasing its new flagship, the HTC One M9, before its announcement at MWC 2015 isn’t really bucking the trend. Posted on its UK Twitter, HTC’s teaser simply says “let them stare” with “The new HTC One” directly below it, accompanied of course by the March 1st date which we know to be the date of their press conference.

What’s probably most confusing is what HTC is exactly referring to when they say “let them stare” – is it the design, a certain new feature? Couple this with the fact that “let them stare” is often advice for something you aren’t afraid to let everyone see, no matter how unusual or unique that something looks. Either way, HTC is definitely sending a few mixed messages.
