LG and Google officially announce the LG Nexus 4, in the Play Store Nov 13th

We all know that Google was forced to cancel their event scheduled for today in NYC. It was sad news, but we respect them for putting people’s safety ahead of an event. Just because the event was canceled doesn’t mean that all things Google and Nexus are put on hold. The device is still on schedule from what we have found out so far. This might have been premature on LG’s part, but it isn’t likely. We can’t imagine that Google would cancel an announcement event and then fail to tell LG to hold off on any press releases about their device.

LG put out a press release this morning going over the Nexus 4. Which is now 100% confirmed to be the name of the device. It outlines many of the details we all knew were coming.

Key specifications
• Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with 1.5GHz Quad-Core Krait CPUs
• Operating System: Android 4.2, Jelly Bean

You see Android Jelly Bean 4.2. Which also confirms that 4.2 isn’t a new Android code name, just a more improved Jelly Bean build. Inside the press release it also details pricing and availability. You will be able to pick up an 8gb or 16 gb version of the unlocked device through the Google Play Store November 13th in the US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Spain and Australia. Offline purchasing will begin at the end of November for Europe, Central/South Americas, Asia, CIS and the Middle East. Price points are not mentioned, in the release, but we do know that the 8GB will be $299 and the 16GB will be $349 plus applicable taxes of course.

Anyone going to be hitting the notorious F5 key on the 13th to be the first to order one?
