It looks the LG LU3000 is Korea-only for now, this Android 2.2 device definitely hints at what LG is capable of. The LG Optimus One is currently available all over the globe and has hit the U.S. with different variants much like we saw with the Galaxy S line of devices from Samsung.
While the LG Optimus One may be confused with an “entry-level” device, the Optimus One is a pretty decent smartphone which LG is marketing towards those who are transitioning into their first smartphone.
The LG LU3000 is a device that packs some powerful specs over the Optimus One and while the LU3000 is currently only available in Korea, if it did happen to cross the pond, we wouldn’t expect it to replace your Motorola Droid X or HTC EVO 4G, but it would definitely be a decent choice for your first LG device.
Features of the LG LU3000 include:
- Android 2.2
- 3.8-inch WVGA screen
- 1GHz TI OMAP 360 chip
- Camera records 1080p HD video
While LG has yet to unleash a monster among the Android community, we’re anticipating the LG Star to change that coming as one of Verizon’s LTE devices which we should see hit CES in January and features a NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. We’re hoping LG is considering launching variants of the LG Star on all of the major U.S. carriers.
Check out the video below of the LG LU3000. Enjoy!
