In light of the launching of two big flagship phones from Samsung and HTC, LG wants to divert our attention to what they have cooking in their factories. A save the date invite was sent out by LG today, and they apparently are going to share some kind of genius with us on May 1st.
Now, at first I thought, “are they planning unveiling the Optimus G2? Which will then lead in to the unveiling of the Nexus 5 at Google I/O later in May?” Seems plausible, but odds we are just going to see the LG Optimus G Pro with that Value Pack that it supposedly had rolled out to it. Many simliar features in this value pack that have already been shown of in the Galaxy S4, so hopefully they have some other form of genius to show us. The invite also suggests that the event will take place at Radio City Music Hall in New York, which again, another thing taken from the Galaxy S4.
So maybe the next Optimus G might be unveiled on May 1st. Maybe they will just show a smartphone washing some clothes. They should have it streamed on the net, so we will surely let you all know when we here that information.
