voriax, a developer from XDA, has devised an intuitive type of live wallpaper which I found to be very interesting. Do you spend a good amount of time each day with your phone in your hand? Ever stop to think about just how far your finger has traveled on your screen before? OK, you probably haven’t, but I bet you’re thinking about it now — am I right?
Finger Distance lets you keep track of how much you’ve swiped your finger across your homescreen, and displays the recorded data in the upper right-hand corner of your screen, in meters. This live wallpaper is very minimalistic; you can change your background color or choose a picture to display as your wallpaper. In either instance, the tracker will do its job and give details on that marathon your pointer finger has run.
The developer has mentioned in his post that this has only been tested on a Samsung Galaxy S II, but it worked on both my HTC myTouch 4G and Viewsonic G-Tablet, so I’d assume it shouldn’t give many of you trouble.
If you’d like to give it a spin, head on over to voriax’s thread by hitting the source link below. Pick up that .apk file, and if you like it, be sure to give him a thanks for the post and his effort.
