Keep it simple and keep it interesting. That is pretty much my moto now a days. Anyone that has been around the Android world for the last 1 year at least knows a few things about us all. First, we are all the biggest misfits and lunatics in the world. Second, we care about everyone and do everything we can to help when we can. I know I fall into both of those categories. Many of you may remember the Big Android BBQ last year. One of the highlights of the events that weekend was the auctioning of a signed Android beanie by Steve Kondik (Cyanogen) sold for $1,000 and the proceeds went to cellphones for soldiers. Shortly after that, the community held another auction with a pink beanie and various other items to the highest bigger to raise money for Breast Cancer research. We have done some pretty good work with out corporate sponsoring.
As the title insinuates, everyone needs to mark July 27th in their calendar at 10PM EST. That is the start time of the Android Headgear Auction for Autism Awareness. Baltimore MD resident, Scott Good, partnered up with the beanie creators, AndroidSWAG, and they produced a limited edition Autism Awareness beanie sporting the foundations puzzle logo. They look pretty sweet and won’t ever be made again.
The auction will be broadcast live, and takes place on July 27th over at RadioAndroid.net at 10PM EST. I hope everyone can make it. Don’t forget to tell your friends.
