Maxisma has released an AOSP ROM that is the first “Google Free” release to hit the community.

Here I provide a half legal (I included the HTC drivers for the hardware…) stock AOSP (android-1.5_r3) ROM!
Features:
-No special features
-Just stock w/o Google apps
Maxisma is also working on scripts for Linux and Windows that will install the extra apps hopefully in a legal manner to phones that are licensed to have the apps in the first. So no distribution from the developers. You can read more about the scripts and his work here.
