Among trademarks filings made in Europe, Motorola has requested that “Bionic” be reserved, which would suggest that they plan to bring their newest dual-core “Droid” Bionic in to Europe in a GSM version. Similar to the Atrix 4G that visited Europe as just the Atrix, the Droid Bionic would be dropping the Droid from it’s name and becoming just the Bionic.
If a GSM version were to be offered could we see the Bionic visit networks such as AT&T and T-Mobile in the states? Probably not officially, but you can bet someone will be willing to pay premium prices to have one shipped over.
