It seems like a true AOSP ROM for the “unhackable” Motorola Droid X is out there. A new video has surfaced showing the Droid X running an AOSP build without Motorola’s custom Motoblur framework.  It looks like it’s completely built from source.
According to an XDA discussion post, a tweet was posted claiming that a true AOSP system with zero blur was running. The build is still very buggy but promising. The bootloader still appears to be locked therefore no custom kernel has been introduced yet.
The video below shows the Droid X running Obsidian (Sapphire for X) booting up to the home screen:
