Mystery package arrives on my doorstep from EA. What could this Be?

EA Logo

Earlier this afternoon, I stepped outside on my front porch to satisfy my pesky nicotine habit and I was greeted by a nice surprise in the form of an unexpected FedEx package laying just inside my porch door. I’m always on the lookout for the delivery truck, so I was quite surprised to see that the delivery man had managed to sneak by and drop this package off without me noticing. The sender information on the package also sparked my curiosity, as this box was sent to me from Electronic Arts, a major developer, marketer, publisher and distributor of video games around the world.

Like a kid on Christmas morning, I quickly tore into the package and was pleased to find three snazzy little items sent out to promote EA’s new “The Sims FreePlay“, the latest installment of the mega-smash-hit Sims franchise for Android. The items inside the box all sport the Sims FreePlay logo. First, we’ve got a spiffy new coffee mug, a perfect addition to my collection. Next, we’ve got a fancy new black scarf, which will surely come in handy for the remainder of this Iowa winter, which has been pretty mild so far, thankfully.

The last item is definitely the most interesting. I’m now the proud owner of a pair of Sims FreePlay Eco-Friendly Speakers — a product many (if not most) of you have never seen before. What are Eco-Friendly Speakers? Well, they are two 4-inch speakers housed in a fold-up cardboard box with Sims promo graphics plastered across the set. While the speakers themselves are far from what I consider good quality, they’re still a nice little trinket that gave me a good chuckle when I got them out of the box.

I’m a huge fan of unexpected surprises, especially when there’s free swag involved. Thanks to EA for the hookup! We can’t wait for Sims FreePlay! Check out the pics of the entire package contents below.
