Wirefly announces top 10 selling devices of the 2010 Holiday

Wirefly is the leading online cellphone and cellphone plan retailer. They consistently offer some of the most amazing deals on new devices and upgrades in the market. Today they posted their Top Ten Best Selling Devices of the holiday season. It should be no surprise that our beloved Android platform took 9 of the 10 spots. Check out the list:

Wirefly’s Top 10 Best Selling Cell Phones for the 2010 Holiday Season (Black Friday thru Christmas Eve)*

  1. HTC EVOâ„¢ 4G (Sprint)
  2. DROID Incredible by HTC (Verizon Wireless)
  3. Samsung Captivateâ„¢ (AT&T)
  4. DROID X by Motorola (Verizon Wireless)
  5. Samsung Interceptâ„¢ (Sprint)
  6. BlackBerry® Torch™ 9800 (AT&T)
  7. Sony Ericsson Xperiaâ„¢ X10 (AT&T)
  8. DROID 2 Global by Motorola (Verizon Wireless)
  9. Samsung Epicâ„¢ 4G (Sprint)
  10. Samsung Fascinateâ„¢ (Verizon Wireless)

I was a little disappointed that the T-Mobile Vibrant didn’t make the cut though. All three of the other Samsung Galaxy S devices made the cut, even if just barely. Did anyone else notice there is not a single T-Mobile device on this list. That has got to have hurt T-Mobile a little this year. I wonder if it was the price that Wirefly was able to sell them for, or if people just aren’t interested in T-Mobile anymore. It’s an interesting thing to consider.

You will also notice that there is no mention of the iPhone. Sadly, it’s not because people didn’t buy them. It would have easily made the top 10 devices sold by Wirefly if they actually sold the iPhone.

The more important question, in my opinion, how many people got their first Android device and what do you think of it so far?
