New software update launched for T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S III, Android 4.1.2

T-Mobile is launching the latest software update for the Samsung Galaxy S III today, bringing a host of new features. The update includes Multi-Window, some camera options, NFC-based Auto-pairing and a couple of settings modes.

Multi-Window allows you to run two apps side-by-side. The feature is also available on Samsung’s Galaxy Note and Galaxy S 4, which can be turned on in the settings menu.

The software update will bring the Galaxy S III up to Android 4.1.2 and will come in at 168MB.

The over the air update to baseband version T999UVDMD5 will continue to be delivered until June 16. Users can also use the latest version of Samsung Kies to download the update manually.
