Earlier this week, we had good news for everyone as the NVIDIA Shield dropped its retail price by $50 making it a nice round $299.99. At that point, the Shield had been scheduled for a 27th June release. Unfortunately, this release date is going to have to move due to unforseen issues.
A statement made today by NVIDIA states that the Shield is being delayed due to a third-party component causing a mechanical issue. The issue will push the Shield’s release into July, but there has been no definitive date set during the month, but we’ll let you know when we get word.
Another setback in the rather tentative release of the NVIDIA Shield. Is anybody waiting on a Shield? Share your pain in the comments.
