The game is based loosly on the Old English tales of King Horn. You play as Horn, who is a young apprentice of a Blacksmith. You wake up one morning to find that your land has been over run with large, fantastic and humorous monsters. But as always there is a twist tot he story. These monsters are actually the people and various animals from your surroundings that have been turned into monsters by a curse.
Sounds like a pretty good basis for a story line. What is going make this game really great are the graphics and the gameplay. Instead of tossing 6 buttons on your touch screen and forcing you fumble about trying to accomplish things, it appears that the controls are simple touch and swipe actions. You can see some of that in the video of the game below.
“Horn is our most ambitious project to date. Our goal from the onset was to provide a console-style experience for mobile devices that can be played and enjoyed by anyone,†said Chip Sineni, Director at Phosphor Games Studio. “Partners such as Zynga and NVidia were invaluable in helping us make the most of the technology, reach out to millions of people, maximize our resources, and produce a game we hope players will enjoy and appreciate.â€

On your incredible adventure you carry the loud-mouthed head of one such fantastic creature with you – a somewhat uncooperative and ill-tempered but grudgingly helpful sidekick. Along with this new companion you must use your sword, crossbow, trusty musical horn, and wits to explore the lands, defeat the enemies, and solve puzzles in your quest to undo the curse that engulfs your homeland.
