As promised by Samsung (weird thing to say eh?) yesterday, the official Froyo update has been released via Samsung Kies for the Captivate.
The new upgrade fixes some issues with the current software:
- Calendar: Several issues were addressed relating to difficulty synchronizing, showing accurate meeting status of attendees, and taking action
- Buddies Now: Force closed problem addressed
- Imaging: Certain problems with animated GIFs files have been corrected
- Messaging: iCan either enable or disable delivery receipt in settings
This updates adds a whole new range of functionality to your Captivate. For more information regarding installation through Samsung Kies as well as more bug fixes and enhancements visit Samsung’s FAQ.
Let’s hope this update doesn’t go the way of the Epic 4G’s recent Froyo venture.
