One year ago, Read It Later was redesigned and recreated as the app Pocket (even though its original name was probably more intuitively descriptive). One year on, is has become a very popular app for saving content for later perusal. I find that its greatest appeal comes from the fact that your saved content is available on all your device and is available offline. What more could you want from a content saving app?
In the spirit of its birthday, Pocket is updating its Android app with more features to share saved content with friends. These features include:
- Share Menu with Friend Shortcuts
- Send to Friend feature
- Inbox for Shared Content
- Sharing Notifications
These new features reflect the recent behaviour of Pocket users, who apparently are twice as likely to share things via email than through social media.
