I have never been big on cases nor extended batteries. When it comes to my ultra thin Vibrant, I don’t want anything to bulk it up. There is a place for cases and for extended batteries though. often times you need to buy them separately. Not with the Elektra series cases from Trident. You get the best of both worlds in one package. Plus an added bonus.
As far as the extended battery is concerned, it does its job and does it well. on a stock battery I am able to average 10 -12 hours of life. That will vary per person per apps and usage of course. Once I hooked this all up to my device, gave it a full charge and wiped battstats (I am rooted) I was able to pull 24 hours out of the battery. Again, individual results will vary. Figure out your average battery life and you can easily expect safely a 75% Â battery increase. On the other side of the coin, expect a larger battery to take longer to reach 100% while charging.
This is the first case I have ever used that has stayed attached to my device for more than a week. If that says anything about how solid it is and how helpful the extended battery is. There are only 2 cons that I have run into with this case.
1. My JLab J4M head phones have a square box at the plug, the case has a round hole to access your jack. They don’t fit so well.
2. Taking it apart to get to your battery is a pretty big task. I ended up grabbing a butter knife. Not sure that is really a con, but if you need to reboot your device by pulling the battery, expect the case to fight you every step of the way.
This is easily the greatest case I have ever seen or had the pleasure of utilizing and sharing. I do know they have this series of case for the Vibrant, Vibrant 4G, Fascinate, Evo 4G and Droid X/X2.
