Sprint users, get ready for another rumor today. According to sources familiar with AndroidAndMe, Sprint and HTC are getting ready to launch the new HTC EVO 4G LTE on May 18th, which was announced earlier this month but without a solid release date. And, as always, it will be available for $199.99 on a new 2-Year contract agreement.
Pre-Orders for the new device are supposed to begin on May 7th, so May 18th sounds like a sensible date to launch the handsome handset. The HTC EVO 4G LTE will launch with Sprint’s new 4G LTE network, however LTE coverage won’t be available until early Summer. The device will also be the first ICS HTC handset to arrive on Sprint, making it more desirable for HTC fans who run on Sprint’s network. And for those of you who forgot, specs for the device include:
- 1280 x 720p 4.7″ Screen
- 8MP Back Camera, 1.3MP FFC
- Android 4.0 ICS & HTC Sense 4.0
- 1.5 Ghz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Processor
- 1GB of RAM
- A 2,000 mAH Battery
