Samsung Developing Custom ARM CPU, 560ppi and 4k Resolution Phones

Samsung has already begun to work on new devices that up the ante when it comes to our viewing pleasure. They are currently working on new AMOLED displays with a pixel density of 560ppi and a resolution of 2560 x 1440. These displays should be used on devices that are released in 2014, but then they plan on upgrading the displays once again for 2015. How does 4k ultra displays with resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 sound to you?

Not only is Samsung working on giving us sharper screens on our devices, the company has also confirmed they are working on a custom ARM CPU. They are taking a page out of Qualcomm and Apple’s book, since those two companies already do this. This new CPU will support 64-bit, but Samsung will also continue to use Qualcomm’s 64-bit chips for LTE enabled devices. This only means there will be two different variant of certain Samsung devices.

So Samsung will be pretty busy the next few years polishing up our mobile devices. We know they are already working flexible displays, so expect a lot of great things coming out of Samsung. Let’s just get rid of the plastic bodies though.
