Samsung finally put the Galaxy S III unveiling at Mobile World Congress rumor to rest earlier today, but what will they unveil instead? They have to be unveiling something at MWC. They are not going to be those people who show up to a potluck with just some bags of chips. As much as we all love chips, let’s fire up the crock pot.
So in comes the rumor mill, and now it is looking like the Galaxy S II Plus might be showing its face over at MWC. The boys over at Android Guys found a benchmark of it in An3DBenchXL’s benchmark database, showing some impressive numbers. Apparently the SGS2 Plus might be sporting Android 2.3.4, a WVGA display, and a 1.5 GHz CPU. Original SGS2 is running a 1.2 GHZ processor, so this is either an overclocked SGS2, or they have stuck in the same processor that they are putting in Sprint’s Galaxy Nexus.
Further questions have been asked, such as why no Ice Cream Sandwich? Well there is a chance that the Plus might have a TouchWiz flavored ICS, which I think a lot of us really do not care to see. All these are rumors of course. We just go to wait and see as the information gets given to us. What do you guys think? Think the SGS2 Plus will show its body at MWC?
