Sprint will announcing the availability of the Samsung Replenish sometime tomorrow afternoon. As you can see from the picture this phone closely resembles the other Android handsets that sport the “Pro” name, featuring a physical qwerty keyboard and a candybar body. Although the phone isn’t sporting the beefy hardware found in the Droid Pro, only offering a 600Mhz CPU, a portrait QVGA display, and a 2MP camera, it does have a greenish quality to it. The Replenish will be offered with an optional solar panel cover which will allow charging via the best source of energy available, the sun.
Sprint CEO Dan Hesse is supposed to be annouce more details tomorrow, but due to the information that’s always readily available , a release date of May 5th has been found. While there’s no way of confirming until the event tomorrow it’s probably safe to say the phone will be rather affordable given the hardware being offered. Although I’d expect the solar panel cover to add a nice chuck to the price.
