Sony Ericsson to Make Waves With Social Networking

Many Android  manufacturers have been  working to get an edge up on the competition in their latest devices. Everything from dual core chips to custom UI’s have all flooded the market. With the Android market being as robust as it is, hardware changes are more what the above average user is more interested in.

Sony Ericsson is looking to take on another roll though. Not only have they started to create some amazing devices recently, Xperia ARC, they are also looking to integrate Social Networking into their devices.  What they have in mind though is to get the likes of Facebook and other networking applications integrated into the core apps of the device. This would save the end user from having to download an app from the market.

This would help Sony Ericsson in terms of being able to market the device as a “Social Network” device. I hope they don’t try and make it as difficult and as unstable as Motorola has been trying to do with its MOTOBLUR service.

What does this mean to those that don’t use those services on the regular? It generally means more bloatware for you to have no way to remove. Although the idea is geared in the right direction I think the approach could use some work.

How would you guys feel about another core application that was pre installed and couldn’t be removed unless you were tech savvy to root?
