Supposed Screenshot from ‘Android L’ Lands on the Internet

The name of the next version of Android is still very much up in the air, but I think we have narrowed it down to a few names. Lollipop, Lemonhead, and Licorice, seem to be the top of the list of names floating around out there. Well it seems that a screenshot got posted on Reddit that was straight from the Chromium Issue Tracker today that everyone is speculating that it is from the next version of and Android, code-naming it “Android L”.

The L that appears at the top-left gives us the impression that whatever device this screenshot came from,  was plugged into a desktop and that L is indicating debug mode. Previous versions of Android have shown the Jelly Bean Andy face, and a Kit Kat on the status bar, so not much detective work is needed to come up with the conclusion that this was in fact from the next version of Android. If you want even more proof that it was, it seems that Google had this screenshot taken down from Chromium, but it is already too late. The Community got a hold of it, and it is being spread around like a virus.

Let us know your thoughts about this screenshot. You think it is possibly from Android 5.0? Google I/O is almost here, but I doubt we will see anything about it. One can dream though.
