With CTIA slowly ramping up more news has rolled out of the T-Mobile booth. This time the new Sidekick variant gets some love. Im sure many of you that have been waiting for this device have been wondering what it was going to cost you.
The pricing released for the Sidekick 4G scales depending on what plan you decide to go with. The new Sidekick 4G can be obtained for as little as $99.99 with a new 2 year contract, however you must subscribe T-Mobile’s unlimited data plan. For those of you that wish to choose to go with a cheaper plan, the phone will be $149.99. Both promotions are only achieved by sending off for a $50 mail-in rebate.
News coming out of CTIA suggests that those Sidekick fans that have gotten their hands on the new successor have deemed in worthy of the name. Although one of the most iconic Sidekick features has been nixed, of course I’m referring to the twist-open mechanism for the screen. Samsung opted for a more straight-forward method for the slider, basically making it slide straight up to reveal the 5-row keyboard.
At this time there’s still no specific date for release, however Spring is still being mentioned as the time frame.
