Looks like the new T-Mobile UNcarrier plans begin as of today, and plans start at just $50 a month. At $50, customers will get unlimited talk and text with only 500 mb of high speed data per month, then you are slowed to 2G speeds, but still unlimited. If you want to fork over another $10, you will be given up to 2 gb of high speed data to use a month. Again, slowed to 2G speeds afterwards, but still unlimited. Then you can go for the gusto and toss on the $20 unlimited data. If you guys did not catch the leaked info sheets from last week, click here to see what else they will be offering.
Another change that comes with this UNcarrier strategy, is that with new phones can be broken into payments over 2 years. Say you want to get a Nexus 4, you would put $50 down and pay $10 extra on your bill for the next 2 years. Not too bad, since that will add up to about $300 for the phone that you will not have to pay off for 2 years. I think that payment plan will be more suitable for people on a budget, or that want a new phone but do not have an upgrade coming for them quite yet. I just wonder what happens if you decide you want to get a new phone and end that contract. Let us know what you guys think.
