It had all the makings of an extremely elaborate April Fool’s joke, and it technically was, except that you will be able to get one. OnePlus has been teasing a “game changer” ever since MWC, and most recently, it was suggested that this “game changer” was going to be a drone. Well, as it turns out, it was a drone, the DR-1. However, with April 1st happening around the world now, OnePlus has unveiled its “game changer” and it’s sufficiently obvious that the OnePlus DR-1 drone is an April Fool’s joke. However, unlike most April Fool’s jokes that get forgotten as soon as they are unveiled, OnePlus is actually following through with its joke, saying that it has “prepared a limited quantity” of its DR-1 drone for purchase. It’s not a bad price either at $19.99 USD, which should be sufficient to give you a few hours of fun. With this great mystery uncovered, however, attention turns again to what actual devices OnePlus is going to release later this year, particularly its follow up to the spectacular OnePlus One.
