This Week’s Market-Fresh Apps

As you’ve likely heard from one source or another, Android Market is growing at a phenomenal pace with thousands of new apps are being added each month. It’s a given that there are going to be some cool apps that you missed, and here some that might make your life a little better.

Spotcycle

Free. Grand Ole Opry

Free. The Grand Ole Opry is the show that made country music famous. Emanating from Nashville, TN since 1925, the Opry showcases a country music mix featuring traditional country, today’s chart-topping hits, bluegrass, Americana, and more performed by new stars, superstars, and legends of the genre.

Trippster

AndLock

Geico Insurance GloveBox

Free. With the GEICO GloveBox you can get a quote, pay your bill, view ID cards and collect accident info with photos. You can also find nearby rental, taxi and towing companies, get instructions on how to change a tire, download ringtones or check out your favorite Caveman and Gecko commercials on You Tube.

NoLED

Free. This app is released for the Samsung Galaxy S. It has been tested with the international version. It displays small colored dots when notifications are received on the AMOLED screen.

Call2Calendar

$1.99. I needed a way to track phone calls. I needed to know who I spoke to so I could update my status and schedule follow-ups.  I also wanted to make sure I was keeping in touch with family and friends.  Using this application, calendar entries are made automatically for each call.
