Here at AndroidStory, we realize there’s not a new Android device released every single day for us to gawk about. We also realize that it’s not every day that major changes are made, such as yesterday’s transition from the Android Market to Google Play. That doesn’t mean there’s not a damn good story out there, just waiting to be found.
As you all know, we boast a heavy emphasis on device customization, app and game reviews, and even some of the hottest accessories available for nearly every Android device on the planet. We’ve now decided it’s time to introduce to you something we’re hoping you’ll all find as a great new daily resource.
Welcome to the first edition of the AndroidStory “Trending App of the Day”. Each and every day, I’ll pick the most interesting app I can find in the “Trending Apps” list on Google Play. It might be an app, it might be a game — it may be free, or it may cost you a couple bucks, but one thing is for sure, I’ll do my best to make sure you don’t miss a beat. In the perfect world, I’ll have this posted and on the front page of our site every day by 5pm EST. Of course, that’s in the perfect world, which few of us actually ever even visit, let alone live in.
Anyhoo, here’s my first selection. Today’s trending app comes to us in the form of a game called, “Plumber Crack,” by Fluik. You might remember Fluik, as it’s the same developer responsible for Office Jerk — you know, that game where you pitch a stapler at the annoying guy in the office? That game went over quite well when we posted about it last year, so we’re very pleased to see another offering from the same dev team.
Plumber Crack is a hilarious new game that features — well, a plumber bent over fixing the sink with his rear parts half-exposed. Your mission is to pitch ice cubes into the plumber’s arsecrack, and attempt to rack up as many style points while doing so. There isn’t a whole bunch more to this game, but man is it fun. There are a couple of different game modes that revolve around different types of scoring, but the objective is pretty much the same.
The download size is 12mb, so it’s not going to hog up a ton of precious storage space if you feel so inclined as to test out my suggestion. Best of all, it won’t cost you a dime to play. Free games  are definitely nice, aren’t they?
