UI changes hit Netflix Android App

UI changes to an app we all have, like and love aren’t always a good thing. In the case of Netflix though, the latest changes to the UI on the Android app is a pretty welcomed sight. What makes it kinda of interesting is that it just sort of showed up. You didn’t need to update the app at all to see the new UI. While it isn’t a complete work over, it does make things a little easier. The most important change is the “Continue Watching Room”. That is where a list of what you have previously been watching whether it was on your XBox, Google TV, Wii or any other Netflix enabled device. If you haven’t open Netflix recently we suggest you take a quick look and see what you think of the new UI. Chris Jaffe, Director of Product Innovation, goes over some of the new UI interactions in the short clip below.

Be sure to snag Netflix if you don’t already have it. The app is free and if you already have a Netflix account you can sign in and use it on your Android phone or Tablet too. Just be wary of the device limit. That can sometimes get annoying.

PS. Anyone else notice that images from the screen shots they provided are showing images for all the wrong movies and shows that they have listed? Kinda funny. All mine are correct at least. Must have been taken during testing.

Thanks for the tip Corey!
