Lets face it, we stopped simply because of the company name. The product they were showcasing was pretty sweet too. The Une Bobine is simply a Micro USB to USB charging and data transfer cable. Yes, they do make one for the iPhone 3, 4 and 4S as well. We all have a few of those lying around our desks and homes. They took the simple idea of charging and syncing your device to a new level though. Threading the cable through a flexible metal snake like housing. This gives you the freedom to keep the cord from tangling, but also offers up the unique ability to make your charging and sync time more flexible.
The possibilities are endless with this little cable. I hooked up my Samsung Galaxy S III and took a few images to illustrate how a person could use the Une Bobine to charge, sync and as a standalone stand for your device.
As you can see, there are plenty of uses for a flexible style charging cable. The demo they provided at their booth offered up a free standing landscape angle as well, but I am not personally comfortable doing that with my device. Not because the Micro USB plug seems loose, but more so because I fear the added weight placed on the charging port might cause damage to the port in the future. I see no issue in portrait mode, or using another surface like a table to support the weight of the device in landscape. Much like you see in a few of the images above.
We are sure that at least a few of you will be highly interested in picking one of these up. you can purchase a Une Bobine directly through Fuse Chicken on their website. They have a single cable kit available for $30, or you can pick up a 2-pack on sale right now for $45.
