We’re still trying to figure out why Verizon has been beating around the bush with the announcement of the Motorola Droid 2 Global as they have announced the device on their Facebook page.
The Motorola Droid 2 Global has been available on Verizon’s site and is shipping to customers, but they haven’t officially announced the world roaming device. The Motorola Droid 2 Global is available now for $199 after a mail-in rebate and a 2-year service agreement is required.
Features of the Motorola Droid 2 Global include:
- Android 2.2
- Motoblur UI
- 5-megapixel camera
- dual flash
- autofocus
- 720p HD recording
- Wi-Fi
- GPS
- dual GSM/CDMA radio
- TI OMAP processor clocked at 1.2GHz
- 8GB internal storage
What do you think is the reasoning behind Verizon’s discreet Droid 2 Global announcement?
