XBOX Live to be headed towards Android in the near future?

For all you Xbox fanboys and PS3/Wii haters, but Android lovers, your day has just became better: Microsoft will be bringing Xbox Live games to Android, as well as iOS and Windows Phone. Last month, Microsoft released their Xbox Live app onto iOS, which allowed you to see who was online, as well as see your achievements, but didn’t allow you to play any games.

According to blog LiveSide, confirmation was found from a job listing on Microsoft’s website, as they were looking for a developer to help develop Xbox Live games onto most mobile platforms. Microsoft  Careers is looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience to help develop Xbox Live games for mobile platforms. The job listing even states that: “Experience of Windows Phone, iOS, or Android development is a big plus”.

“As the team inside IEB (Interactive Entertainment Business) dedicated to mobile experiences, we work closely with console software team and Xbox LIVE services team to bring the latest and greatest gaming and entertainment experience to mobile platforms including Windows Phone, iOS and other mobile platforms.”

It’s great to see Microsoft try and bring their undoubtedly successful Xbox Live platform over to mobile platforms, with the mobile industry booming and all. Anyone excited?
