What? The Xperia Play didn’t have HD video capture? Yes folks, Sony Ericsson did not add that to its 5 megapixel camera. Probably because it was more focused on the gaming portion of this device, but now it won’t be left out of all those reindeer games and have its HD video capture. How is this possible you ask? Well its incoming Android 2.3.4 update is going to bring Christmas early this year. It’s a happy day for those gamers playing those good ole playstation games on their phones. You can stop playing “Need for Speed” and capture a real high-speed car chase in 720p HD awesomeness.
The update is said to be rolling out today to all devices. As per the usual limitations of a network OTA, you might not see it right off the bat. It can sometimes take a few weeks to slip its way to you.
