The day Android 4.4 was announced, Google and a couple other OEMs chimed in on when their devices would receive the update. HTC was one of those OEMs, and there was mention that the GE HTC One would receive Android 4.4 in 15 days, and that the regular HTC One in North America would receive the update in 90 days. The PR from HTC further details the company’s plan to get the update rolled out to their current devices.
Across EMEA, HTC will work with local carriers to begin the roll-out of Android 4.4 with Sense 5.5 for the HTC One from end of January. The Google Play edition will start to receive the update earlier, starting from the end of November. Details regarding the HTC One Max and the HTC One Mini will follow.†– HTC PR
So not really much more information regarding the update than we already knew. February is looking like when the HTC One will start getting its update, which will then transition to the Max and the Mini getting their updates. Let us know how you feel about this.
