Archos has just announced the availability of their latest Android 4.2 based tablet. The Archos 101 XS 2 is the latest line from their Gen11 range. It is another Google certified tablet, meaning it comes pre-loaded with the Play Store and Google apps. The XS 2 is powered by a quad-core A9 processor clocked at 1.6 GHz, 2GB of RAM and a 10.1-inch IPS screen at a resolution of 1280 x 800. Internal storage is a standard 16 GBs with micro SD card support for a 64GB card.  They also packed in a set of front facing speakers. The tablet also features dual-band Wi-Fi , 5GHz and 2.4GHz, and has Bluetooth and GPS.
At launch this December, the Archos 101 XS 2 will sell for $279. This also includes the unique magnetic Coverboard that protects the device when transporting and also has a Bluetooth Keyboard built-in that doubles as a stand. Â Not a bad pairing really for the price tag.
You can dig in further at Archos.com, but it won’t be available for another month. I bet they have them on the show floor at CES, we will swing by and see how they look up close and let you guys know.
