If you already have the unofficial version of “Froyo” then you will know the obvious improvements to the UI itself, as well as adding features like Tethering and the Wireless HotSpot. Could this just be laying the foundation for more UI upgrades and can we expect Android’s next release “Gingerbread” relatively soon?
TechCrunch’s chief  Michael Arrington says that he has sources close to Google which have stated that the stock Android UI will be getting a huge overhaul in it’s next revision. We can only safely assume this means “Gingerbread” due to what we have already seen with “Froyo.”
