Wallets ready: Take a look at the first smartphone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor

qualcomm snapdragon 810The time for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 is nigh with Qualcomm announcing its latest Mobile Development Platform Smartphone. The device will be used as a development reference tool to show how a device with the all-new processor should work and essentially starts the countdown to when we’ll see Snapdragon 810’s in commercial devices. Not that you can’t buy one of these bad boys if you wanted – one of these devices will set you back $799 USD – but you better make sure you have lots of spare money.

With that price comes a whole lot of smartphone. The device has a 6.17-inch Quad HD 10-point multi-touch display, 4GB RAM and 3,020mAh battery. As for the Snapdragon 810 itself, the cores are said to be 50% more powerful than those found in the Snapdragon 805, and the new Adreno 430 graphics unit trumps the Adreno 420 by 30% too. Of course, it’s also 64-bit, so it will be Qualcomm’s first high-powered 64-bit processor, hopefully giving us a better look of how devices are going to work when Android finally makes better use of its abilities. There are a whole lot of other goodies buried within the device’s body, so make sure to hit the source link below if you want to find out more.
