Moto E launches on Boost Mobile and Sprint Prepaid for $99.99, Virgin Mobile on March 9th

At the tail end of February Motorola announced the 2nd gen Moto E. The budget device packs a 4.5-inch qHD screen at 540 x 960, a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 1 GB of RAM, a 5MP rear camera a lower res front facing camera, 8GB of storage and a 2390 mAh battery. It comes pre-loaded with Android 5.0 Lollipop and launched at just $149.99 for the LTE variant with a 3G variant on the way for $119.99. Today the power that be for all pre-paid services under Sprint have let us know that they will all carry the device.

Moto E Boost Mobile

Boost Mobile is the first to officially launch the device with a starting price tag of $99.99. That is for the LTE variant, making it $50 less than if you bought it out right and unlocked from Motorola. Boost is only offering the device in white though.

Sprint Pre-paid

Sprint Pre-Paid will be picking it up in black and selling it through Best Buy and Radio Shack. They also have it listed for $99.99. As you can see in the image above, they aren’t selling through their prepaid online store. It could make an appearance eventually, but for now you will need to visit Best Buy to pick one up.

The Virgin Mobile variant will also come in black for Virgin Mobile and be sold through Wal-Mart starting March 9th. No mention of price was released in the announcement email I received, but I think it is safe to assume it will also retail for $99.99.
