Those of you that held onto your HTC One M7 on AT&T are in for a treat. Mo Versi has announced via his Twitter account that the devices will be seeing Android 5.0 Lollipop starting today. Like other devices, HTC One M7 owners can expect the Material Design visual changes, lock screen notifications, Project Volta (the battery saver goods), quick settings menu from any screen, recent apps UI changes and all the other wonders that Lollipop has to offer.

For those of you who jumped ship to the HTC One M8 with AT&T, fear not, as your Lollipop update isn’t too far behind. Mo responded to that very question, on Friday, from a fellow HTCian by stating the HTC One M8 is scheduled to pick up the tasty update on April 6th.
Anyone on AT&T with the One M7 seeing the update yet? Be sure to have a solid Wi-Fi connection, well over 50% battery life and some time to kill as it downloads and installs. I imagine it will come in around the same size that T-Mobile’s update did, which was approximately 730MBs.
UPDATE: AT&T has updated the devices software page to reflect the update information. Looks like it will roll out in 2 waves, a smaller memory optimization update followed by the Android 5.0 lollipop update.
Due to the large file size relative to the memory availability on the device, this update will consist of two separate downloads. Customers will be notified of the first download on March 31, 2015 and notification of the second download on April 6, 2015. However, both of these downloads are available immediately for user initiated updating.
IMPORTANT CUSTOMER IMPACT:
- Customers performing a user initiated update must wait at least one hour after downloading and installing the first update before downloading and installing the second update to provide sufficient time for the servers to update. Customers who do not wait may get a message stating that their software is up to date and / or that they must waith 24 hours to check for updates.
