Sony is expecting a lot from 2015, not least of all selling 38 million devices despite considerable competition on all sides. Spearheading this effort will be the Sony Xperia Z4, Sony’s yet-to-be-announced flagship device that is expected to be made official sometime soon, and as if right on cue, leaks have been appearing on a daily basis. The latest leak is the most comprehensive to date, showing the device from all angles, sparing no detail. Check out the images below for the full story:
Perhaps unsurprisingly, but definitely disappointingly, the Xperia Z4 looks exactly the same as the Xperia Z3 from the outside, right down to the placement of the power button. Running Android Lollipop, we’re assuming all the real changes are on the inside of the device – an upgrade to a Snapdragon 810 should be the minimum. Sony and Samsung are in remarkably similar situations in the smartphone market (though perhaps the money at stake is different) but both companies appear to be approaching their 2015 flagships differently – Sony has played it safe whereas Samsung has gone left field. Who would have thought that would be the case 2 years ago?
