Six Touch Apps released by Adobe – Design, Edit and Present in a whole new Way

Adobe may have quit putting effort into Flash for Android, but that doesn’t mean they are done working with the platform. It would be stupid for them to walk from one of the biggest OS’s in the world.

Late last night Adobe launched their suite of Touch Apps to the Android market. They are available for tablets sporting Android 3.1+ and will set you back $9.99 each. Giving you the power to choose which ones you need and want rather than force you to spend $60 bucks for a package. The six available apps include Kuler, Photoshop Touch, Debut, Ideas, Collage, and Proto.

When you purchase one of the many apps you get instant access to the Creative Cloud. The cloud offers you an ample 20GB of storage allowing to save your creation from your tablet and reopen them in Adobe Photoshop right on your home PC. Pretty sweet idea actually.

Each app offers you something different for your personal needs.

Photoshop Touch – Fairly sure this one doesn’t need much introduction. It is essentially a stripped down version of the desktop application. Giving you some needed essentials for quick editing, cropping, resizing, sharpening and many more. They also give you access to alter various FX like vignette, threshold, glass, old photocopy and others.

KulerSimply put, this app lets you adjust any and all colors on the image. Giving you full control over color schemes and themeing of an image.

IdeasThis application lets you take advantage of a set of vector drawing tools to unlock your ‘ideas’ in digital form. This is extremely handy for both photos and drawing layers on the go.

DebutThis is the presentation app. Giving you the ability to pull multiple resources from any of the other Touch Apps as well as the cloud. Pull multiple files at once and create an easy to adjust and edit slide show of works. You also have the ability for editing any of the images in each slide to add or hide elements that don’t need to be there.

Proto – This app is for the web designer on the go. Using intuitive gesture controls and the Creative Cloud gives you the ability to quickly mock-up a web page design at your leisure. Allowing you to create multiple pages that can even be actively linked together with in the app.  Proto also allows for image placement, video embedding, text flow, interactive elements and much much more.

CollageThe final app of the six available. This is tool that can be used for those of you that enjoy or need to create conceptual mood boards. Don’t worry if you have never heard of them, I hadn’t either. There are those of you that will love this app though. It is essentially a conglomeration of images, words and other media to create a visual board.

You can find out some more in-depth information via Adobe Touch Apps web page. For a great hands on look at each application visit the source link below. Liam over at Androidpolice did a really great job of explaining each app with some hands on information.

While these applications may not be for the faint at heart, they are definitely going to be great tools for those of you in any type artistic industry. I have a feeling these applications are going to give you much more productive mobile experience and might even provoke some tablet purchases.

Rather than flood you with 6 QR codes, you can click on each applications name to go straight to the market to take a closer look and download any app you wish. Happy creating.
