It’s that time of year again, basketball fans. The National Basketball Association regular season tipped of on Christmas day and much to my liking, the Miami Heat went on to smash the defending champion Dallas Mavericks on their home floor, after the Mav’s championship banner was raised in celebration of the team’s 6-game NBA Finals win last year in Miami. Of course, they still got the last laugh, as they are the reigning champions of the world, and no loss can ever take that away from them — at least for this year.
Many of you may remember NBA Gametime, a mobile application that gets revamped and re-released each year that allows us to keep up with all the latest scores, highlights and news from our favorite teams. In past years, the app has never been much to brag about — if you were willing to shell out a hefty subscription fee, you could stream live games on-the-go. Well, the subscription fee is still in place, but if you would like to give the 2011-2012 version of NBA Gametime a try, NBA Digital is offering a free preview of the subscription service, allowing you to watch live NBA games on your Android phone for free until January 8th, 2012. The promotion started yesterday, on 12/26, and will continue to be free for the next two week.
Don’t miss out on a single slam dunk. Head over to the Android Market by clicking or scanning the link below, and get ready to put the entire NBA in your pocket. #LetsGoHeat!
