The new keyboard is called Jorno. It really has 4 main features that truly make it a must have for productivity on the go. First off, it folds in 5 places and compacts itself into a small box that is 3.5 x 3.5 x 1.2 inches. That right there makes it an easy to pack and carry keyboard with protected keys and outer shell. Next is the snazzy little detachable flip cradle that is also clicked into place and folded into it. It looks like it has a nice soft backing and is able to support the weight and angle of any smartphone and any tablet. Battery life is another key component to this awesome little keyboard. Most portable keyboards we have seen have a short battery life span of 6 to 8 hours. That is all most people need, but the inconvenience of having to charge it up again is a bit annoying. The Jorno’s rechargable Li-Ion battery offers up to 1 month based on normal usage. Finally, when unfolded, the keyboard is rigid. You can easily place it on your leg, lap or the arm of a chair and use it easily.
It is a really amazing looking little keyboard. As for Kickstarter options, you have many to choose from as usual. Pledge a $1 and you get your name on the site as a backer, pledge $79 get a black Jorno and so on and so forth. Retail for a Jorno is set to be $119, so you are saving yourself $40 bucks with the first pledge option. Estimated delivery won’t be till April though.

Los Angeles, CA – September 19, 2012 – The Jorno team, innovative developers of input productivity solutions for touchscreen handheld devices, is thrilled to unleash its creation, the Jorno keyboard.
Jorno serves as an on-the-go solution for typing on a variety of mobile devices. This pocketable keyboard is the size of your palm when folded, measuring in at 7.6mm for a clean and modern design. It folds down five ways, unlike any other competitor on the market, and easily fits into your pocket or purse.
By transforming your iPhone®, iPad®, or Android™ device into a fully functioning laptop, users can enjoy the freedom of easily writing emails, taking notes in class, or working on other assignments from virtually any location. Jorno also comes equipped with a detachable cradle to securely hold your device in landscape or portrait mode for the most practical and productive user experience. The cradle is designed to support phones as well as mini- and full-size tablets. Jorno pairs via Bluetooth to deliver convenient connectivity capabilities, and also guarantees compatibility with a wide array of devices.
The Jorno keyboard also has an intelligently rigid design, so it won’t collapse as users are typing on their lap. The built-in rechargeable battery lasts an entire month to deliver maximum usage time without concern for losing power.
“We are incredibly excited to introduce a mobile keyboard to the market, which offers such a unique and essential design that has yet to be created,†said Scott Starrett, CEO and Founder, Jorno. “We are passionate about this innovation and are certain it is the next big thing in the mobile productivity arena.â€
Jorno has garnered a number of prestigious industry awards, including an Engineering Design and Innovation Award from the Consumer Electronics Show.
