Andy Rubin steps down, and the head of the Chromebook department steps up. Sundar Pichai’s first goal to bring us full on Androidbooks? Just might be. Seems that we might see these Androidbooks some time later this year. These are just rumors of course, and with the news that the Chrome OS and Android would not be merging, this is leading us to believe that maybe they had this in mind instead.
Now this report states that the Chromebooks are still running strong in the market, and the Chromebook Pixel TV ads have apparently helped sales, so they will continue to dish out Chormebooks while they bring out the first Androidbooks. I guess that would be the way to go. A lot of the Pixel reviews out there, said they wish they had a little more Android integration, so this might be the answer they are looking for.
