Why do we need a Facebook phone? I am actually asking you that question. Many cringe and the thought of it. Facebook has been around for awhile, and just now releasing a phone with its very own OS might just be a bit too late. With that though, the image above is a what this new HTC phone will look like, and they are definitely trying to appeal to everyone with an assortment of colors. Looks like an HTC phone to me. The codename for this phone was “Myst” but has now changed to “First.” Does that mean we will get more Facebook phones?
Now I forgot that Facebook purchased Instagram last year, so of course this “Facebook Home” OS is going to have Instagram integration. The picture taking public might like that a lot, but I am still very curious how they plan on selling a phone like this, when we got numerous apps that already act as our means of getting our content out to our social media networks. Let us know what you guys think?
