If you are one of the millions of customers that currently are signed up for service through Comcast for your TV and/or phone service, you will soon be able to control them both from your Android device. With other companies out there such as Direct TV offering a similarly featured application, it was only a matter of time before others started to see how beneficial this would be for their customers.
The application would allow you to program your DVR remotely so you don’t miss your favorite shows, which is pretty neat. Although this isn’t ground breaking, the other features that will be included are unique to Comcast, such as call forwarding. It has been around for ages, but the ability to open the application and tap a button to forward your home phone calls to your cell whenever you need to is a very nice addition. Comcast is also stating that you will be able to receive push notifications if you have a new voice mail in your landline’s inbox, and be able to check them through the app.
The application is not available as of yet, but keep your eyes out for it. I’m sure Comcast will let its customers know when it becomes available.
