Tegra 4 Spotted in a Flagship ZTE phone

When we hear Tegra, you think of the big kids on the block: Samsung, Asus, even Motorola. You don’t however, think of putting Tegra and ZTE in the same sentence. What’s more is that you don’t think about putting the unreleased Tegra 4 and ZTE in the same sentence either, not before the bigger names get to it first, that is. Well, the seemingly impossible has been done. The ZTE N988 has been spotted in the wild, and it is speculated that the famed Tegra 4 chip is under the hood. This phone is an entirely different direction for the manufacturer, and may be just the help that it needs.

That’s not all, though. This phone is boasting some monstrous specs that, quite frankly, can compete with the best from Samsung on down. It includes a 13 MP Rear Camera, [at least a(n)] 2-8 MP front facing camera, 5.7 inch screen, 1280×720 resolution, 2GB of RAM and a 1.5 GHz quad core processor, and the Tegra chip. It is 6.9mm thick and weighs in at 110g, a thin and light device.

So, could it be? Could ZTE be releasing their flagship device as the first ever Tegra 4 phone? Only time will tell. What do you think?
