The froyo is blended and it’s close to being ready for mass consumption. Just how close you wonder? Close enough that some enterprising Android fan managed to get some delicious video of the froyo before it was wrapped up and shipped to Google.
We’re still in the dark about what Android 2.2 will bring, though with Google I/O next week, we only need to be patient a little longer. Â Admittedly, this is going to be harder than usual thanks to people like former Android software engineer Cedric Beust saying things like “Prepare to be blown away by what you will see very soon.” Â Here’s a little taste of what to expect:
- Apps2SD support
- Flash 10.1
- Improved Android Market with auto-updates and developer feedback
- Native tethering
- New desktop
- Improved performance
These are all really great additions, it’s exciting to think what else is in store that would truly blow us away. Off the top of my head, tossing an online market on that list would be pretty mind blowing. Â What addition would make you say “Wow!”?
